Alongside my my portrait work, I’ve always had a very close relationship with fashion photography. As opposed to the first, in which the goal is to reveal the model’s inner self, fashion allows me to give free rein to my creativity and pay homage to two of my biggest influences: jazz and classic films. In Manifashion I did not want to make just a compilation of my work with models and costumes; I wanted to include my long walks in London observing the ever-changing shop windows and those small moments when after a coffee I took my camera and photographed anything that caught my eye: a leaf, a stone, or a flower.
Paralelamente a mi trabajo como retratista, siempre he tenido una relación estrecha con la fotografía de moda. A diferencia del retrato, donde la finalidad es revelar la personalidad del modelo, la fotografía de moda me permite dejar libre mi creatividad y hacer homenaje a dos de mis grandes influencias: el jazz y el cine clásico. En MANIfashion, la intención no era hacer un libro centrado sólo en mi trabajo de moda, también he querido incluir mis largos paseos por Londres observando escaparates y los pequeños momentos donde después de un café cojo la cámara y fotografío lo primero que tenía a la vista: una hoja, una piedra o una flor.
